Attorney & Counselor-at-Law

Meet Attorney Jon Provisor

For Jonathan “Jon” Provisor, the law is more than a set of rules; it is a tool for protecting the community he has served for over a decade. While many attorneys enter the field directly from the classroom, Jon brings a seasoned, real-world perspective shaped by over fifteen years on the front lines of Maine’s justice system.

Jon’s professional journey began far from the quiet of a law library. After earning his degree in History from the University of Colorado – Boulder, he returned home to New England, dedicated himself to public safety as a Police Officer and SRT Operator in Auburn and Augusta. During his tenure in law enforcement, he was more than a patrol officer; he served as a Training Officer and a sought-after resource for legal knowledge among his peers. It was during these years that Jon developed his reputation as a dedicated problem solver, learning to navigate high-pressure situations with a calm, analytical mindset.

Driven by a desire to advocate for his neighbors in a new capacity, Jon pursued his Juris Doctor at the Syracuse University College of Law. He seamlessly transitioned his investigative skills to the courtroom, first as a legal extern and then as an Assistant District Attorney for Kennebec and Somerset Counties. As a prosecutor, he became a formidable litigator, conducting numerous jury trials and handling complex legal analyses with the same precision he honed in the field.

Now a key member of the team at Dominion Law, Jon focuses his practice on helping individuals and local families navigate their most significant life chapters. Whether he is drafting meticulous Estate Plans, guiding families through the sensitive process of Probate, or helping small business owners establish a firm legal footing, Jon’s approach is defined by thoroughness and clear communication. He understands that behind every legal document is a family or an entrepreneur looking for security and peace of mind.

Jon’s history of community service is woven into both his professional and personal life. When he isn't at the office, he is often found at the rink enjoying a game of hockey or spending quality time with his family. For Jon, practicing law in Central Maine is about more than just representation—it is about being a dedicated husband and father, an active neighbor, and a trusted advocate for the people of the region.
